MAP stands for Maren Panke, but also for orientation
that helps you to set out on the path to art.
You have decided not only to look at art, but to create it.
On this way I accompany you.
In my courses I make you familiar with the material, the tools, the processing techniques.
You will learn and develop your (spatial) vision, get ideas on how to implement your idea, your idea of the finished work.
I accompany you in completely new experiences with the living material wood, which forces you (and me) again and again into a dialogue, leads to limits, brings to new insights.
The completed work recedes into the background.
The process of creation, progress, setbacks, doubts, revelations are the elements of your "path to art".
With my knowledge, my expertise and my experience I am at your side and want to accompany you on this path.

CONTENT
The joy of wood and the desire to find forms, the examination as well as the creative process are in the foreground.
All courses take place in small groups of two to five participants. Thus I can guarantee an individual and intensive care.
In addition, all course dates can be combined, i.e. a day course "Taster Course - Wood Sculpture in Wilhelmshaven" can also be booked during a weekend course or 5-day course and a weekend course can also be booked during a 4-day course - completely flexible and according to your wishes.

TERMS OF REGISTRATION
After registration (by mail, in person, by phone or in writing) I will send you my account details. Please transfer half of the course fee, indicating your name and the course date in the reason for payment. Only with receipt of the money the place is firmly reserved. Please transfer the second half of the course fee at the latest four weeks before the beginning of the course to the mentioned account with the same reason for payment plus the addition "second part of the course fee". The material fee will be paid in cash during the course. For one-day courses, please transfer the entire course fee at the time of registration. Vouchers are valid for one year. In case of cancellation up to four weeks before the beginning of the course, I will refund half the amount paid. However, you are welcome to provide a substitute participant. For cancellations at shorter notice and for no-shows, no refund is possible.

The workshop is divided into areas to optimally support the creation & creative process. A space where personal exploration can be lived individually.
Do you start with the search for inspiration or do you approach your sculpture by finding the right piece of wood?
Start your process in the area that suits you best or consciously in a completely different area. The room can optimally support everyone on their individual path to art.
And I will accompany you with curiosity, advice and joy, with coffee and tea, lunch and pastries!
